Double Chocolate Torte Custard Cream Puff Tower

I saw something similar on the net somewhere a while ago, they only put a couple of puffs around the outside, it was still cool though.
Double Chocolate Torte Custard Cream Puff Tower + Whipped Cream
After thinking about it for a while I decided I wanted to have a go, and with a colleagues birthday recently I finally got the chance!
Double Chocolate Torte Custard Cream Puff Tower: Better shot for the White Chocolate Drizzle

Includes.h

  1. Base: Double Chocolate Torte: Follow the recipe up to the point where you get the torte out of the pan
  2. Topping: Custard Cream Puffs: You will need to follow the recipe to completion

Suggested ordering:

  1. Do the cake part of the Torte first.
  2. You can then let the torte cake base cool while you make the puff custard cream filling
  3. Followed by the Torte mousse. At this point I would let both rest over night
  4. Make the cream puff shells
  5. When the shells are cool you can fill them, then chocolate dip them
  6. When you are about to serve place puffs on the torte
  7. Drizzle the white chocolate

Finalize & White Chocolate Drizzle

Ingredients:

3 ounces of White Chocolate bits
1/4 cup of whipping cream

Method:

  1. Remove torte from the tin and place on serving plate.
  2. Construct tower of cream puffs on the torte.
  3. Microwave the white chocolate and cream for 20-30 second bursts, stirring well after each burst; until the mixture is smooth
  4. Use a piping bag to drizzle over the cake tower. Alternatively you could spoon it over, but thats a little boring.
